    My family and I have been patients of Dr.Charles Martinez for 10 years now. The Dr and his staff go above and beyond and truly care about their patients. It’s always clean in the office, every procedure is thoroughly explained and they don’t overbook you like doctors,dental offices etc… They truly care about you and your teeth, that’s why I continue to drive over 40 minutes because it’s worth it. Are you accepting new patients?

Yes. We welcome new patients of all ages, from a child’s first checkup to seniors. Request an appointment online or call (847) 214-1324, and our front desk will find a time that works for you.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Se habla español. Dr. Martinez and several members of our team speak English and Spanish, so you can ask questions and understand your treatment in the language you prefer. Our whole website is also available in Spanish.

What dental insurance do you accept?

We accept most dental insurance plans, including Delta Dental, BlueCross BlueShield, Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, United Concordia, Ameritas, Lincoln Financial, Principal, Sun Life, Physicians Mutual and Concordia. At this time we are unable to accept HMO or DMO plans. Not sure about yours? Use our Just Ask form or see all accepted plans.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. You can split larger costs into monthly payments with Cherry or CareCredit. We will give you a clear estimate before treatment and help you make the most of your insurance benefits. See insurance and payment options.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

Call us right away at (847) 214-1324. We offer same-day appointments whenever possible for toothaches, broken or knocked-out teeth, swelling and lost fillings or crowns. If you have swelling that makes it hard to breathe or swallow, go to the nearest emergency room or call 911. Read more about emergency dental care.

What are your hours, and where are you located?

We are open Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (closed for lunch 1:00 to 2:00 pm), and closed Friday to Sunday. Our office is at 40 N Airlite St, Suite 1A, Elgin, IL 60123, near Larkin Avenue, with wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking.

How often should I have a checkup and cleaning?

Most patients do best with a checkup and professional cleaning every six months. If you have signs of gum disease or a higher risk of cavities, we may recommend more frequent visits or a deep cleaning.

What’s the difference between veneers and crowns?

Both improve the look of your teeth. Veneers cover only the front surface and are mainly cosmetic, while crowns cover the whole tooth to add strength and protection. We’ll recommend the right option after examining your teeth.
